Your Role at Cabot

You will be responsible for obtaining goods and services to meet the needs of multiple business stakeholders. You will work through established contracts for centrally sourced goods and services and, when necessary, select vendors and suppliers for non-centrally sourced goods and services. Additionally, you will negotiate local and regional contracts in alignment with Category requirements. Depending on the organizational structure, you may also provide guidance to less experienced members of the Purchasing team.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Procuring complex, high-value items for business stakeholders and managing bid requests for independently sourced goods.
  • Working with internal customers to understand and translate their purchasing needs.
  • Generating documents, purchase orders, and approving orders within set spending limits.
  • Identifying cost-effective purchasing methods, using tools like procurement cards and blanket orders.
  • Implementing purchasing tools and researching new cost-effective sources.
  • Maintaining a supply base and reducing the number of active suppliers.
  • Building positive relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and users.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of goods/services that meet quality, timing, and price terms, and resolving commercial conflicts with suppliers.
  • Coordinating with vendors and internal teams to finalize purchasing details.
  • Evaluating supplier performance, analyzing trends, and identifying efficiency opportunities.
  • Ensuring compliance with purchasing ethics, regulations, and company standards.
  • Providing training and, if needed, leading teams at certain locations.
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of Professional Services and IT categories.

What You Will Bring to Cabot

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.  Purchasing certification or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years industry-related purchasing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Purchasing in a multinational industry, contract design, and the marketplace for Professional Services and Digital/IT categories. Basic understanding of business and financial principles.
  • Proficient in office and purchasing tools (e.g., Coupa, Savings Reporting tools).
  • Effective verbal and written communicator with negotiation skills. Ability to guide and instruct others.
  • Customer-focused, committed to delivering high-quality service.
  • Fluent in English.

Additional Information 

  • Working Hours: 9:00 - 17:30
  • Salary: 2200 - 2500 EUR Gross.
  • Permanent contract.
  • Monthly allowance & Yearly bonus.
  • Health insurance from first day of work.
  • Hybrid work schedule (3 days on site and 2 days’ work from home).
