Your Role at Cabot

You will lead a team of buyers responsible for multiple sites across a Noerth America region. Focus on team performance, people growth and development. Align processes within the team. Cultivates relationships with key stakeholders. Handle recruitment and onboarding. The role reports to the P2P Operations Manager.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Coordinate tasks within the team and is responsible for short term / long term resource planning (including holiday planning). First point of escalation for team members and key stakeholders. Act as stand in for team members during unscheduled or scheduled leave periods.
  • Handle operational management by following up on progress against targets and objectives of the team. Facilitate regular 1:1 meetings and team updates, providing feedback. Organize team development and team building activities.
  • Coordinate alignment of processes within the region and supports implementation of new purchasing tools.
  • Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders. Organizes regular meetings with Facility General Managers, Finance Managers – in collaboration with Accounts Payable Team Lead. Connect with key stakeholders within the Global Business Services organization to ensure alignment. Maintain a feedback log of interactions.
  • Take responsibility for all recruitment and onboarding activities within the team, participating in interviews and selecting appropriate candidates for available positions. Organize onboarding and training planning for new hires.
  • Provide training to team members and/or stakeholders in collaboration with Buyer Specialist. Mentor team members to ensure effective task execution.
  • Initiate the annual performance review, working with individual team members to support their objectives and professional development. Obtain feedback from key stakeholders to help assess individual performance. Decide or advise on reward and recognition opportunities.

What You Will Bring to Cabot

  • University degree, preferably in Business or industry-related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in leading a team, preferably in purchasing or finance field.
  • Fluent English skills.
  • Clear and effective communication skills in various settings. 
  • Adjustment to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and changes.
  • High level of responsibility for decisions, actions, and failures.
  • Encourage the open exchange of ideas, viewpoints, and information within team.

Additional information:

  • Salary: 2150 - 2350 EUR GROSS.
  • Working hours: 12:00 - 20:30.
  • Permanent contract 
  • Health insurance from first day of work.
  • Monthly allowance & yearly bonus. 
  • Hybrid work schedule (3 days on site and 2 days’ work from home).
