Your Role at Cabot

As a Senior Credit Analyst, you are responsible for managing credit risk across the EMEA and North America regions. Your key duties include maintaining the customer master data, approving and setting credit limits in the ERP system, and monitoring/releasing orders placed on credit hold. Additionally, you act as a backup for credit management activities in the APAC and South America regions.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Establish and maintain a high quality credit risk management environment, based on credit guidelines and control procedures.
  • Obtain and analyze the customer financial reports (cash flow, balance sheet, profit and loss statement etc.), payment behavior, credit ratings, country risk and other information to determine credit risk involved for extending and new customers
  • Approve and review credit limits for new and existing customers according to delegation of authority and policy.
  • Provide a recommendation for requested credit amount and payment terms to the relevant Sales Manager, Business Director and Regional Finance Director.
  • Maintain detailed records of credit analysis performed in accordance with established control policy. Maintain the customer master file in ERP system.
  • Monitor and release sales orders that are on credit holds due to possible credit risk.
  • Compile and assess the monthly bad debt provision with the Regional Controllers. Review bad debts for write-off or further action.
  • Identify accounts requiring collection agency or legal action and coordinate collections with third party contractors.
  • Deal with customer bankrupcy cases
  • Escalate all credit issues to senior management within the businesses, finance and legal
  • Compile reports for businesses and finance to understand credit data. Support collections in the analysis of delinquent accounts and in the preparation of recommendations for resolution.

What You Will Bring to Cabot

  • Higher education (degree) in related discipline.
  • 3+ years of previous experience in a financial services or other business services functions.
  • Experience in a multinational company with ERP systems will be considered as an advantage.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Ability to gather, analyse and draw well-reasoned conclusions.
  • Good communication skills; with ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Profound knowledge of Excel and various reporting systems (e.g., OBI, JDE).

Additional Details:

  • Working Hours: 9:00 - 17:30
  • Permanent contract.
  • Salary: 1842 - 2525 EUR Gross.
  • Monthly allowance and Yearly bonus.

  • Hybrid work schedule (3 days on site and 2 days’ work from home).
