Your Role at Cabot

Finance Business Partner – RM EMEA – Acts as a strategic financial advisor to the RM EMEA organization. Responsible for accumulating, analyzing, validating, and reporting of forecasted and actual monthly and quarterly results of the EMEA region. Prepares and reports on the capital and cash flows for the business as well as coordinating the annual budget process for the region. Possesses well developed knowledge and skills to interpret financial information in all areas to assist and advise management. Helps shape and formulate the regional “story” that is communicated to the corporation and segment leadership. Uses advanced techniques to leverage informational systems to design reports, evaluate results and develop analytical tools to ensure the timely dissemination of information to improve business decision making and performance. The role will also serve to support the region or the global business in ad hoc projects as needed.
The role is based in Riga, Lativia but is eligible to follow the current Flexible Working Arrangement / Hybrid model. It reports directly to the Sr. Finance Business Partner – RM in Boston, Massachusetts with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the VP/Regional Business Director RM EMEA.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Proactively advise on critical financial matters of moderate complexity and partner with the Global and Regional Business team members to provide financial analysis and expertise for decision support
• Prepare and communicate monthly analysis of business results to senior management team. Coordinate, prepare and communicate forecasts, budgets and other financial information required by management.
• Initiate studies to clarify results and define opportunities for profit improvement.
• Conduct analysis of volumes and variable margins by working closely with the regional team and gaining a deep understanding of the drivers of actual and forecasted results.
• Initiates/executes analysis to support business case development for new opportunities, product portfolio, asset optimizations and cash flow generation opportunities by working closely with feedstock, supply chain, product management, commercial, and marketing resources.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize net working capital, improve cash flow, and drive cost-efficiency across the organization.
• Build and maintain robust financial and operational data models using Anaplan, Power BI, and Power Query to support forecasting, scenario planning, and strategic decision-making.

What You Will Bring to Cabot

• University degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA a plus.
• Minimum 8 years FP&A/business finance experience in a chemical manufacturing or similar industrial organization.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles and their application in a business setting, including financial discounted cash flow, cost / benefit, payback and other modeling with multiple scenarios.
• Sound business acumen including the ability to quickly develop a broad understanding of Cabot’s business models, products and markets.
• Excellent analytical and data modeling skills and ability to review and interpret large amounts of data and provide insight regarding observable trends.
• Ability to make decisions and take initiative in the absence of perfect information and to respond to issues quickly and effectively.
• Ability to build trust and gain support of personnel across the organization.
• Strong Excel skills including ability to mine/manipulate data, clean, troubleshoot, and analyze information using database, formulas, power query/pivots, etc
• Experience with JDE, OBI or SAP, Power BI/Power Query. Understands accounting, ERP and management reporting system interdependencies.
• Aptitude for learning new reporting, management information systems and other technology quickly.
• High level communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to adapt presentation style to suit audience and ensure effective information delivery to various stakeholder levels.

 

 

Additional Information:

 

Permanent contract.
Monthly allowance & Yearly bonus.
Health insurance from first day of work.
Salary: 3200 - 4500 EUR Gross. The final salary offer will depend on the candidate’s previous experience and qualifications.
