  • Position Summary

     A vacancy currently exists for a Warehouse Technician to join our Daycrew working split shifts throughout the week with occasional weekend work as required by business needs. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out all warehouse activities, together with stock rotation of raw material & final product to ensure that customer's requirements and orders are delivered consistently. Working in a small team in a busy environment an excellent teamworker who is flexible and enthusiastic is essential.

    Job Responsibilities

    • To take ownership of the filling of tankers.
    • To take responsibility for ensuring that finished product is dispatched and shipped in a timely manner with appropriate documentation
    • To take ownership of the off loading of sea bulks and removing liners after loading.
    • To take responsibility for the loading of containers with palletised material.
    • Ship material to customers or outside storage
    • To take ownership of ensuring that raw material and final product inventory are recorded accurately.
    • To take ownership of maintaining an accurate record keeping / log of incident reports.
    • To take responsibility for moving raw material and final product to and from storage.
    • To take responsibility for Nissan Hut and WPS Housekeeping.
    • To take ownership for operating within site safety and quality standards.
    • To take ownership for carrying out designated maintenance work orders
    • To support & assist in maintenance tasks as required.
    • To take responsibility for any other reasonable duties as required by the individual’s direct line manager.

     

    Requirements

    CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:

    Technical

    • Fully Trained Fork Lift Truck License is essential
    • Full clean driving license is essential
    • English & Math’s to GCSE grade C and above or equivalent qualification essential
    • Intermediate level on use of Excel & Word
    • Understanding and knowledge of principles of stock records accuracy and cycle counting would be advantageous
    • Experience of basic mechanical work would be advantageous

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • It would be desirable to have NVQ Level 2 Warehouse skills or experience of working in a Warehouse environment, particularly with regard to lorry loading, both container and curtain sided.
    • Stocktaking experience would be valuable
