  • Position Summary

    EMEA & Americas Finance Manager is a strategic thinking partner for an accelerated growing business. As active member of Specialty Compounds Leadership Team she/or he is in charge of understanding and/or identifying the business result drivers for month, quarter or year. The role also in charge to propose and or advise the corrective actions that need to be taken to accelerate or correct the course of the business growth trajectory during annual and Long Range plan. He/she will help on business plans and will act as regional advisor in strategic decision making, while coordinating the activities with corporate Finance. The role also manages consolidation of global financial account statements (EMEA, Americas and Asia), monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes for Global Specialty Compounds Business.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Serves as key advisor to EMEA & Americas Specialty Compounds Business Director and is a key contributor to strategic discussions;
    • Provides analysis to support business initiatives, pricing/margin management, capital investment and contract negotiations;
    • Leads the financial analysis and forecasting process for Specialty Compounds (EBIT) and (manufacturing costs), ensuring the business' ability to deliver P&L and Balance Sheet objectives. Works with regional and corporate finance to ensure financial data integrity;
    • Manages LRP/Forecast process for business and coordinate globally the consolidation of all regions;
    • Effectively communicates monthly and quarterly business results to leadership team and Global Formulation and Performance Chemical finance organization;
    • Proactively advises on critical financial matters by providing analytical decision support and financial expertise;
    • Designs reports and processes to ensure that management receives timely and relevant information regarding all financial activities with adequate analytical support. Provides input and guidance for financial IT system design to support business needs;
    • Evaluates and interprets macro-economic and industry data to understand market trends and provide insights to the business;
    • Leads and participates in financial and cross-functional projects.

    Requirements

    • Previous experience in Business Analyst role and experience with M&A is highly preferred;
    • Previous experience in the industrial environment (preferrably chemical/plastics manufacturing);
    • Ability to identify and organize analysis relative to key business issues and strategic questions;
    • Expert knowledge of financial principles and ability to apply in a business setting;
    • Analytical and research skills and ability to review and interpret large amounts of data and provide insight regarding observable trends;
    • Ability to make decisions and take initiative in the absence of perfect information;
    • Ability to respond to issues quickly and effectively;
    • Ability to synthesize key issues and themes;
    • Accuracy and attention to detail but also ability to see the ‘big picture’;
    • Ability to build trust and gain support throughout the organization (Regional and Global);
    • Excellent communications skills;
    • Advanced computer skills, including financial modeling;
    • The candidate must be willing to both roll up her/his sleeves and engage in the detail, as well as function at a higher level;
    • University degree in Business discipline/Accounting/Finance. MBA preferred;
    • Minimum 8+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in a manufacturing environment;
    • Demonstrated success in all phases of business planning and analysis.
