  • Position Summary

    EMEA Talent Management & Development Manager works with organizational stakeholders to understand business needs and imperatives to design, implement and monitor effective talent management and development processes and programs in EMEA region in support of the company’s goals. This role collaborates closely with businesses, functions, global talent management Center of Excellence (COE) and other HR colleagues across EMEA region to ensure the alignment and synergies of specific local and regional efforts with global talent management philosophy, tools and processes.


    This role reports into the Head of Global Talent Management and Development, with a matrix reporting line to the Head of HR for EMEA. This role is part of both the global COE and EMEA HR leadership team. The role is located in Riga, Latvia.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Understand the business/function needs and develop strategic view and roadmap of talent management and development needs in the region, influencing and partnering with business and HR leaders to implement it.
    • Design, launch, monitor, act on and follow through talent development programs and processes to build capabilities, enhance engagement and drive performance in the region.
    • Act as a focal contact point and project lead for global talent management and development programs (e.g., performance management, high potential identification and development, leadership development, employee engagement).
    • Leverage HR & Talent analytics to inform needs, decisions and progress against objectives.
    • Facilitate application of corporate tools and processes on talent review, talent development and succession planning with people managers and within the HR community.
    • Facilitate development and monitor progress of individual developmental plans for EMEA region talent.
    • Provide support to the regional businesses or functions in competency assessment and development efforts.
    • Provide expertise to help establish a learning framework that is consistent with Cabot’s employee development principles and philosophies.
    • Partner with people managers on coaching and engaging to promote a learning culture.
    • Play a key role in building employee learning and development capabilities in the HR community across the EMEA region.

    Education/experience required

    • Minimum 7 years of experience in Human Resources with solid experience in Talent Management & Development, preferably in manufacturing organizations. Experience working in consulting will be a plus.
    • Ability to engage at the different levels in a matrix environment.
    • Knowledge of the latest practices and trends in Talent Management & Development.
    • Experience working with psychometrics and adult learning methodologies.
    • Ability to lead own agenda while keeping alignment with key stakeholders.
    • University (Bachelor’s/Master’s) required. Advanced degree is preferred.
    • Fluency in English required, and any other European languages are a plus.
    • Sensitivity and ability to effectively collaborate with different cultures.
