  • Position Summary

    Project Manager role covers global eProcurement tools implementation and expansion activities. Purchasing Advancement Project manager acts as an owner and manager of eProcurement system set-up and maintenance, ensuring tool providers (vendor) and IT functional support as needed. Project Manager is the key resource to support and train the global purchasing organization to ensure the efficient and effective use of the available procurement systems and tools. This position leads expansion and integration of tools for vendor spend analysis in support of eProcurement tool, global functional scorecard & KPI management as well as financial and working capital analysis, performance and management and it also drives and manages purchasing functional contributions to company-wide initiatives (i.e. working capital, simplification, functional benchmarking, etc.)

    Job Responsibilities

    • Run global projects to implement and expand the usage of new eProcurement systems, functionalities and tools.
    • Lead various regional teams to develop, manage and track global e-procurement metrics, objectives and targets.
    • Drive deployment plans based on supplier base analytics and understanding of best-in-class tool usage.
    • Manage external service provider to ensure system functionality and ongoing development.
    • Lead the development, training and implementation of standard practices and processes for supplier engagement, onboarding, enablement and performance tracking in the eProcurement tools.
    • Work with IT, Business Process Excellence and Controls organizations to develop and document processes and controls, as needed.
    • Work with IT and the service provider to ensure maintenance of the system, including data flows, supplier master information, user set-ups, etc.
    • Manage functional scorecard and metrics, including target setting, ongoing tracking as well as improvement plans.
    • Drive and manage functional working capital (trade payables) strategy in cooperation with global team.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree Required (Business, Computer Science, Finance or Engineering). Master’s Degree preferred.
    • 5 to 10 years of IT, Finance, Purchasing or Supply Chain experience.
    • Outstanding computer skills, with expert knowledge of standard business applications such as Excel and database tools.
    • Proven project management experience with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross functional groups of colleagues and internal customers within a multicultural environment (Local & Global (Asia, Europe, Americas, Middle East)).
    • Strong financial and business acumen and analytical skills.
    • Advanced level knowledge of Purchasing / Sourcing / eProcurement processes.
    • Advanced level knowledge and experience in ERP for procurement and eProcurement tools.
