    Cabot Energy Materials has an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Business Development professional to join our team as we participate in this high growth industry with projected growth rates at more than 30% per year. As a top supplier of additives that enable superior battery performance, Cabot is well placed to fill a leadership position in this market. As a New Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing new growth opportunities in the EMEA region, working closely with target battery customers like Northvolt, CATL, LG Chem, SDI, and our customers’ customers, such as Volkswagen, Daimler, and BMW.

     

     

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develops business cases including strategic rationale, fit and overall business plan and current asset base, financial returns, risk and mitigations, timeline, resources needed.
    • Develops and delivers a business plan for specific market opportunity. Critically reviews progress against plan to continuously assess commercial potential, making adjustments as necessary in order to assure acceptable profitability. Oversees cross-functional project activities focused on development of business opportunities that may include new business acquisitions, joint ventures, and licensing agreements.
    • Responsible for collecting customer and industry feedback and translating input to creation and or execution of business plan
    • Works with regional product development and application development team to define a product development to win /target industry segments
    • Find and develop new targets customers that can test Cabot’s value proposition
    • Test / stretch value proposition so price strategy can be created
    • After business plan or marketing strategy is validated, build the appropriate transition plan from marketing to regions for execution of the business plan.

    Requirements

    • Strong knowledge of business and marketing principles and practices, as well as relevant deep technology understanding
    • Ability to visualize and follow through on ideas and concepts. Displays entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to explore new ideas.
    • Strong communicator. Ability to speak and write clearly and convincingly
    • Leadership skills and ability to motivate influence and inspire trust in others. Effective negotiator and facilitator.
    • Interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain positive business relationships at high levels in the organization.
    • Adept at organizing and connecting seemingly unrelated ideas. Analytical skills and ability to understand interdependencies and cause and effect relationships
    • Organizational and prioritizing skills.
    • Undergraduate degree in technology required, Master’s degree in Business Administration a plus
    • Minimum10 years’ related experience
