As a Buyer You will be responsible for supporting specific Cabot production site. The core responsibilities will be obtaining goods and services that are necessary for running smooth operations. The common purchasing duties for a Buyer include: procuring items for the manufacturing plants, setting up and managing bid requests, and working with internal customers to identify and understand purchasing needs.   This role is part of Global Purchasing team that is based in Riga and provides procurement services to a number of manufacturing facilities and offices globally.

Work through established contracts for centrally sourced items and/or through the selection of vendors and suppliers for non-centrally sourced items. May negotiate local contracts. Depending on organizational structure, may provide leadership and guidance to less experienced members of Purchasing team.

The position is the key element to ensure that the master data files are complete and kept up to date, including for pricing and rebate information, in a way that complies with the highest internal control, approvals and segregation of duties standards. Cabot Corporation is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data & Analytics team at our Mumbai Office.  This position plays an important role of bridging the gap between our business stakeholders and third-party implementation team and will be key to the continued successful implementation of the Cabot RENEW Digitalization project.   The Data and Analytics team supports key initiatives that accelerate the development of the data management platforms and architecture (Provisioning of data in Data Lake, Master Data Management, Data Quality Monitoring, Data Governance and Advanced Analytics). The Data Engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders across the Company to deliver reporting solutions and facilitate seamless data access across the corporate functions and plant solutions landscape. This role requires familiarity with BI, Data Warehousing, Cloud, relational database concepts as well as experience in the data and analytics domain. Reporting to the Senior Director of Data and Analytics and IPA, the Data Engineer must have a passion for data and deep understanding of data concepts, dimensional modeling and experience with Microsoft and Oracle Analytics Tools. The ideal candidate has experience understanding process and reporting needs in a manufacturing organization and will support Cabot in becoming a data driven organization by capturing the reporting requirements, build dimensional model and create visualization to share the insights.
