Cabot Italiana has been manufacturing carbon black at Ravenna since 1960, producing several grades in three production units. It is the first furnace carbon black plant in Italy and, besides the three production units, runs a power station fed by the tail gas coming from carbon black production process, which provides the energy to run the plant and sells the excess to external grid. Ravenna is site for two entities with a total of 85 employees.
